Various Volleyball Posts
There are five types of posts within our VBP105 range:
(a) VBP105-01 Winch Post
(b) VBP105-02 Anchor Post
(c) VBP105-03 Centre Post
(d) VBP105-04 Reverse Winch Post
(e) VBP105-05 Reverse Centre Post
The posts are regulation height of 2550mm, and the net height can be easily adjusted to four set positions of 2430mm, 2350mm, 2240mm and 2150mm. The upright is manufactured from 100 x 50 RHS, with a 60mm diameter spigot. Our standard posts are designed to withstand a net tension of 685N. (Special posts can be manufactured that allows this tension to increase to 1135N, however, care must be taken as they may not fit into the standard floor sleeves that are fitted in most courts.)
These posts have been designed to reduce the risk of injury when setting up the court. We have significantly reduced the weight of these units over our older models whilst maintaining the original strength. By using 75 x 50 RHS upright, we can further reduce the weight by almost 2kg. The posts will noticeably bend more, however, the weight reduction may make them more attractive for junior players.
Another safety feature is the net height adjusting mechanism. The reduction in weight, coupled with the use of a spring snaplock, which automatically engages at a correct preset height, minimises the risk to hands and fingers and also makes changing the net height easier and quicker.
When posts are being used in combination configuration, each net height may be adjusted independently for various age and gender groups.
Posts are powdercoated in French Blue, but can be supplied in any colour within the standard powdercoat range.
The net is tensioned with a plated geared drum winch, which is fitted with a removable handle.
